Hided in the Indus valley, the monastery of Tiksey belongs to the Gelugpa order. One of the jewel of the place is the Matreya temple, where a 15 meters high statue of Matreya empower the shrine. Matreya is the Buddha that has yet to come for the benefit of all sentient beings.
