Matters of tradition
Two members of a gaucho traditionalist group carry their banner through the streets of Alegrete during the 2025 Gaucho day parade. This town, near the Uruguayan border, proudly holds what is deemed the largest gaucho traditionalist parade in the country, and the heavy rain that fell most of the morning was not enough to dissuade riders, spectators, or photographers.
