Max has Finnish roots. His great-grandfather was a Red Finnish and moved to the USSR after the October Revolution, and his grandfather fought for the USSR against the Finns. Max flies a paraglider, sails a yacht, builds furniture in his garage, and tells his children tales of beautiful Scandinavia.
