We encountered the dominant tigress Maya while on our evening safari in the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. She is referred to as the Undisputed Queen of Hearts, and when she is in the mood, she puts on a road show that overflows our memory cards as well as our hearts. I was able to capture her emerging from the shadows into the light in this frame. She is the dominant lady in this area, as evidenced by her posture, demeanour, focused gaze, and self-assurance. We were below her line of sight, so I was able to capture her in all of her magnificence in this photo.
