I am beautiful with Thanaka. Poetry of Traditional "THANAKA" By Shahida Win Circular patches on cheeks with Thanaka Those who see the face Embrace spreading fragrant scent Distinctive beauty of a Rohingya Juliette Modelling on the global stage How ideally charming, ever priceless On velvet and tender cheeks While applied traditional Thanaka In sense of culture and maintains Rohingya manner Just fascinating, view through is eternal It protects from sunburn And dries up in wind So cooling sensation To touch the pile of Thanaka Soft palms of both hands Blending with the water of love Grinding it on stone slab Gently apply on velvet cheeks
