This image is from a series of self-portrait images, depicting activities and clothing that we typically associate with the beach. I live by the sea on the Isle of Wight off the south coast of England, where this image is also taken, I see so many people walk past my house and to the beach, all with the similar items. I decided to recreate the notions we associate so strongly with a day at the beach.
