This is my good friend Nevse's uncle Medo. In this photo he was talking to Nev and I about the waterfall in the forest where we were hiking. He doesn't speak a word of English but he was always speaking to me in Bulgarian as if I were family as if I understood what he was saying. He went above and beyond to drive Nev and I up the steep mountains so I could see their gorgeous country. Nev and her family are some of the greatest, kindest souls I've ever encountered and ever will encounter.
