Meet Aba Gouri from Bani

Childern in Burkina Faso mostly only dream of regular food supplies, cosy beds, clean clothes and proper education. Thousands of them are exploited as a slave work force in gold mines and their future has absolutely no prospects. Aba Gouri is the lucky one, he is not one of them. He is from a small village of Bani and is 10 years old, very kind and happy boy. He is an orphant and a girl called Kadi takes care of him. He helps her in the restaurant where he also sleeps, but for all this 'luxury' he has to attend school. He doesn’t really like to go to school, but as he says it is much better then working in artisanal gold mines where most of his peers do.
