There are animals that only appear in certain climatic conditions, and when they do, it is usually in large numbers. These mollusks can be seen on rainy days, with humidity and cool temperatures to be able to perform their vital functions and colonize new places, on the contrary, during the driest and hottest days they remain hidden in dark and humid areas such as woods, under stones, among plants bushy or roots, however others say that they ascend along the stems of plants or trunks to avoid dying from dehydration. I live in the SouthEast of Spain, an arid and usually dry area. During the period of confinement caused by the Covid19, a reverse phenomenon occurred in the area, the rain arrived and did not stop for weeks, and some animals approached inhabited areas. The snails arriving at the end of spring invaded poles, metal fences, bushes, and dry trees.
