The Memphis Belle, B-17, flew into Spirit of St. Louis airport in St. Louis County. It was a chilly, blustery, misty morning when we went out to admire her. She was fabulous even though this was the one used in the movie, the real one being at the Air Force museum in Ohio. They were taking nostalgia buffs for rides for around $500 per person, making 3 or 4 flights that day.
