This photo is part of a project that I am following throughout 2019: a series of pictures of the development of a tree over the course of the year. Since I now know every square meter around this tree and also follow the position of the sun every day, I knew that on this day in June the conditions would be optimal to achieve very interesting colors with a polarization filter. The result surprised me anyway - hence the title "Metallic Light".
