This is my youngest son, who was taking a walk with me. He likes to play with and touch everything along the way whenever we walk, and I was hoping to capture something interesting. When he gravitated to this meter I felt I had the right shot. At first glance it looked like nothing special, but I knew that with the right framing this would be a great shot. The meter is so much taller than my son that it looks almost frightening for him, which is a very different perspective than adults have of parking meters, thus making the imagery memorable.
