Midnight Moving Day
Always trying to remain least intrusive and minimally invasive in nature but sometimes we greatly disrupt it. We had to clear some dead trees. Nocturnal, rarely seen, mama flying squirrel woke up at her midnight, felt we were too close and too disruptive, and she panicked. For 30 minutes, she moved her teeny babies, one by one, from her decaying birch forest log home to the top of an oak tree. She maneuvered the trees like a Mom Boss and though she was stressed, she had a happy, safe ending!
