I captured this photo during twilight at a scenic overlook in Tennessee. I've had a vision for a while to capture the core of the Milky Way touching the top of the Great Smoky Mountains behind this small town and after two nights, I finally got the shot. I love how the lights of the town seem to shine upward to create the scene in the night sky.
