Milky Way Rises over Yellow Mounds in Badlands National Park
This quiet serene night with clear skies allows us to see the galactic center of the Milky Way with our naked eye. This photo at Yellow Mounds overlook in Badlands National Park shows the beautiful colors of the rugged landscape. Dark skies like this are getting increasingly harder to come by and we must raise awareness to preserve them by conserving electricity and performing simple actions by just turning lights off at night.
