This photograph is of the miners lockers at an abandoned mine in Lincoln County, which is only between somewhere and somewhere else, a litany of countless unmarked dirt roads before road signs to more common destinations. There is no trespassing, just passing. It is distant but intimate, presenting a subtle drama, teasing to reveal what is, yet again, over another hill where only the most stoic and strong took root.
