I was recently walking in an open air market in Vietnam when I spied this young woman on a scooter totally swathed in clothing of various patterns. Some is meant to filter out pollution from other street exhausts but other facial cover-up is because Vietnamese women want to keep their skin as light as possible and do this in part, by shielding their skin from the sun.
