I started my morning out at the Pounding Mill Overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway when Thick fog took over the area. After loosing my viewpoint here, I went to the Black Balsam area along the Blue Ridge Parkway. It was much higher in elevation. A brief opening in the clouds illuminated two ridge tops for about 30 seconds and I was able to capture this surreal scene.
