Misunderstood

"Misunderstood and the World knows it." This photo shows the African American experience that black males and females growing up in poverty can relate to. This photo consists of two young boys who is replicating what they see the older males in their community do. They're displaying their defense mechanisms which is to show how tough they are by putting up gun signs and putting on their tough guy faces. Though this has become cultural poses in the black communities across the world, these are poses and the faces that to others outside the black community can misunderstand and find offense to.
