Modus Operandi
An Epomis beetle larva attacks the throat of a Cricket Frog (Fejervarya Sp.)with its hook-like mandibles in Madhya Pradesh, India. The larvae lure their victims, mostly amphibians, by appearing as a helpless prey and then attack the throat of the predator with their curved, hook-like mandibles. They clamp down and begin their feast.
