Momentary Respite

I had been driving through the California Hills on the way to Zumba and Malibu Beach. I thought it would be nice to take the mountain scenic route to the beaches. After a three-hour drive, I briefly walked around Zumba Beach. It was very quiet there. No sign of life there. On my way home, I drove along the Pacific Coast Highway, also known as Route 1. My legs were still a bit stiff from sitting so long in the car. I randomly parked my car along the Malibu Coastline; and decided to walk a couple of miles along the coastline. Before going back to the car, I sat down on a group of rocks, so I could enjoy my surroundings; and though it was an overcast day, it was quite beautiful in its own way. The light was soft and diffuse.
