16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Moments of Silence at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

As we remember the victims of Hiroshima attack, we strive towards maintaining peace amongst our worlds. In seeing the beautification of Hiroshima, there is hope in all of us to transform our planet with safer precautions. To learn from our mistakes and to not repeat those actions. The flame inbetween the crescent statue and represents for the world’s continuous usuage of nuclear weapons and will be put out if nuclear weapons stop being used altogether.
