Monarch friends

Wondering in the field behind my home one morning I noticed these two Monarchs hanging on an old Teasel flower head. I couldn’t believe my luck. It looked like they were holding hands. Later, after the sun got higher, they were able to open their wings and I noticed they one was male and the other female.
