Monarch on the Prairie

Walking the dusty roads of the southwestern Minnesota prairie around our family farm one night to watch the sun set in its epic prairie way, and on this night balanced by the full moon rise to the east, the monarchs newly out of the cocoon were stretching their wings as the breezes, for once, were soft enough in the vast open space. So, as the sun went down and the moon came up, the Monarchs came out to play.
