Moody Carolina Balsams
A photo taken from a hike up to Black Balsam Knob. The Balsams is a region of the Blue Ridge mountains in North Carolina that are all above 6000' and also balds up top. Most of the Blue Ridge Mountains are covered by deciduous forest, but the Balsams is one of the few areas where an evergreen temperate rainforest is present.
