After taken an image nearby of very dramatic waves crashing at sunset, I encountered these tide pools as dusk was setting in. The contrast between the emotional character of the place and moment to just minutes before was something I wanted to capture. Here the texture and shapes of the rocks are showcased against the calmness of the water, emphasized by a multi-minute exposure.
