On clear nights and mornings, when the fog does not obscure San Francisco and the bay, we often head north from our home to the Marin headlands, where the bay meets the ocean. This evening we just anted to watch and record the moon rising above the Golden Gate Bridge, a monthly pleasure, weather permitting. As this image suddenly and unexpectedly appeared, I thought about Ansel Adams and his famous photograph, "Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico." It was the same. A brief moment to be captured and savored.
