16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Travel
Morning Catch, Negombo.
Little white fish are jumping in the nets that the women are unravelling in the hot sun on a beach in Negombo, Sri Lanka. The women smiled at me after I took the photograph which was extraordinary given the extreme heat and the laborious work.
