Morning Dew on a Rose
Historic Chatham Manor has the most beautiful rose arbor and parterre beds. The manor briefly served as Union headquarters, and later as the major Union hospital during battles for control of the strategic Virginia city and Spotsylvania county en route to the Confederate capital. Few houses in America have witnessed as many important events and hosted as many famous people as Chatham. The gardens reflect the magnificence of the manor and its significance in history.
