Looking to the southwest at Zabriskie Point during a sunrise yielded this scene. The sun had risen for about 10 minutes when it illuminated the clouds to the southwest and brought out detail and rich colors in the hillside. The tans and chocolate browns of the hillside became saturated for a brief moment while the sun was still low on the horizon and the clouds took on a magenta hue.
