For two months, I worked at a vineyard in the Waitaki River Valley on New Zealand's South Island during the antipodean summer. Some mornings, thin, long clouds of mist would drift above the Waitaki River which lay between the vineyard and the nearby hills. The hills gave context to the low altitude of the clouds as they made their way along the valley.
