Morro Bay - California

Morro Bay is a historical landmark for many reasons. This beautiful shaped rock was an important navigational aid for mariners in 1542. This place is also a scared site for the Native American Indians. The rock has since been designated a bird sanctuary for the peregrine falcon and other bird species. The coastal beach is a marine protected area. A protected site where humans and wildlife can coexist without damaging the environment.
