Mother Gator, Six Mile Cypress Slough
A large female alligator is reflected in a pond at Six Mile Cypress Slough, a wetland preserve in Ft. Myers, Florida. About a dozen of her offspring were sitting on a nearby log, off camera. This was photographed in January 2022 from the boardwalk that winds through the preserve.
