Mother's Love

This was taken during one of the rainiest months in Kenya's history. Due to flooding, we couldn't travel beyond a mile or two from camp. We came across a troop of baboons that were sitting on top of a fallen tree. It was quite a scene! All the mothers (more than 10 of them) were shielding their young ones from the pouring rain, and once in a while they'd shake the rain off. I don't remember the last time I took so many pictures of baboons. And though it doesn't sound as exciting as shooting big cats, it was lots of fun. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade...
