Mount Rainier looms over Seattle
I had just visited Port Townsend and was taking the ferry over to Seattle. It took until I was at least halfway to the city before I realized that one could see Mt. Rainier and the immense scale of nature versus man. The space needle and skyscrapers of Seattle appear as toy buildings.
