Mount Sakhchakh

Mount Sakhchakh is located in the Republic of Khakassia, surrounded by villages and villages such as the village of Birikchul, the village of Verh-Askiz, the village of Askiz, the village of Beltyrskoye and so on. Mount Sakhchakh is a unique natural area of Khakassia. It is known that Sakhchakh is an inactive ("fallen asleep") volcano. This area, thanks to the huge variety of species, is popular with people engaged in berry picking (blueberries and lingonberries grow on top, as well as some types of boneberry), mushrooms and cedar cones. They go there overnight, for the whole day or even just in the morning.
