Mountain Bluebird
Umptanum road near Ellensburg, WA has another name in the spring, the Bluebird Trail. This dirt road is the home to both Mountain and Western Bluebirds as the residents have built boxes for these visitors to use for nesting. This intrepid male, however, chose to make a nest inside the hollow tube of a metal gate.
