Mr. Farhang

Farhang Ketabi, 67, He is an artist. He grew up in the capital, Tehran. He moves up abroad to pursue his art and career. Years passed, he decides to return to his home country and spend the rest of his life in the mountains, secluded. He says living in the mountains is tough, and many things have happened to him over the years. He says one of the tragedies that shook him was his wife's death caused by a car accident. He has raised both of his children alone. Despite these hardships, he doesn't want to return to the city. He believes living in nature brings him closer to humanity. I tried capturing his feelings; the calamities, love, loss. His passion for life is glazing in his eyes as who belongs to pure nature, expressing how he is aware of the precious self. "My art depicts how I live my life; portraits, and experiences, relationships and connections, my inner self and reflections of how moral and spiritual gauges are created within society."
