Her name is Bibi Jan, she is a Kalash woman, living in the Kalash Valley of Pakistan, neighbouring Afghanistan. Despite living in a very difficult geography, she is a member of the Kalash who has managed to maintain her traditions. The daily clothes of Kalash women are more colourful and decorated than their Muslim neighbours, women have a say in society and are respected. They do not cover their hair and wear headdresses decorated with seashells every day. They always braid their hair,regardless of their age.She's so happy to be a Kalash woman.
