Musa acuminata
This photograph is part of a series I am working on. The giant leaves of Musa acuminata are beautiful in their own right. At first glance, this image may appear to be a picture of cloth; upon closer examination you realize each "fold" is actually a vein and that the giant "crease" is the stem of the leaf. We are viewing the leaf from below as sunshine backlights the simple beauty.
