In this photo, I tried to depict grim and strange atmosphere of old horror books through photography. On the surface, it is a simple transformation of literature into visual medium, but I tried exploring additional subtext in my work. Since I am an artist myself, I am very familiar with the interaction of the creator and inspiration. Inspiration can be drawn from different sources, like music or books, but sometimes it come from the depth of our souls. When an artist tries to look inside himself, it can often harm his spirit. That’s what I tried to express with this photo.
