Muskox out in the Cold
In Jameson Land, north-west of Ittoqqortoormiit, Greenland is prime hunting territory for muskoxen. As the largest member of the goat and sheep family, the muskox is a living relic from a prehistoric age when they walked the earth with woolly mammoths and sabre tooth cats. During the year, dominant males engage in elaborate head-butting contests to determine possession of a herd.
