I captured this photo on safari in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. I feel elephants are amongst the most human of the animal kingdom in terms of their emotional bonds and family oriented society. This photo, of two elephants, demonstrates this is true, there is a twinkle in both their eyes as they touch the top of their trunks against each other, like two humans nuzzling each other with their noses, showing the love and care they have for each other. They also both seem to be smiling broadly and oblivious to the world around them or who may be watching.
