My daughter posing before the Tso Moriri in the Changthag Plateau of Ladakh

The Tso Moriri (Mountain lake), is a lake in the Changthang Plateau at 4522 mts, of Ladakh in India. Known for its barren and unspoilt beauty, it attracts people from all over the world. Moving around in Ladakh in general and at Tso Moriri in particular can be tiring because of the thin air. Accessible through a 6 hrs drive from Leh, over dusty and barren cold desert region, the journey can be extremely fatiguing. The beauty along the way, for us from the lowlands, however, was other worldly and we stopped at places in between to look around and stretch our limbs. What the journey took away from our body it gave back to our senses, through the absolute beauty of untamed nature.
