This is the maple tree in the backyard of the house that I grew up in. It has watched over me my whole life, standing outside my childhood window, letting me climb and play in its branches. I truly believe humans are connected to the earth, we have just forgotten to appreciate it as much as we should. I love this tree and I will mourn it when it falls.
