I took the picture at North Ridge Country Club, Raleigh, NC golf course's beautiful par three. The course winds thru the neighborhood we lived in and this hole's tee box was right off the road. Having taken my son to the driving range many times I was amazed at his form and ability to make solid contact with the ball at his age. I was a photographer in the Navy so photo content and composition are second nature to me. I did want to add drama to the story by having my son put his pacifier in his mouth, he had just recently kicked the habit.
