Dear Son, You were brought to us from a place of love. You are a man created in an image of a man, who through our journey I've started to love more, with every breath I take. I'm carrying you at a time where I see the world differently. There is a space where oppression, hatred, jealousy and overall lack of love for who we are is blatant. But these things don't scare me for you. There is one thing I now know for certain; while you came from a place of love over the past 9 months you were built from places of intense strength. This has been the most challenging year mommy has ever experienced. When I questioned the world- I felt you kick, when I witnessed the belittlement of our people and felt my heat break-I heard your heart beat. When I decided for a moment I couldn't move forward- I saw your sister lay on my belly and smile. You have been nothing short of my silver lining.
