Mziuri Park

Mziuri Park of Tbilisi, Georgia was built "for youth and children" during last decade of Soviet Union and was quite ambitious undertaking. It was strategically located between an natural preserve in a stretch of small river that ran between two major residential districts. After contstruction boom began in the city the park significantly suffered first by a major highway built in the middle of this natural preserve, then by famous devastating flood that drowned entire city zoo and Mziuri Park altogether. After the flood, fate of the Park is unknown. It hasn't been renovated and parts of it were chopped off by developers and the city council for new development projects. Large portion of the park, however, remains still wild, with remnants of old walkways that shelter some leisure walkers and loving couples.
