Our family went on several hikes up Waimea Canyon in Kaua'i, Hawai'i. At one point, we found an outcropping that provided a panoramic view of the Nā Pali coast below. There are tall waterfalls that look tiny against the backdrop of the 4,000-foot (1200-meter) mountains.
