16th Annual Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest Natural World
Napali Valley
We flew back in to this valley off of the Napali Coast while on a helicopter tour. The tops of the 3000 foot cliffs disappeared in the clouds, and the wind whipping around the valley made the air freezing through the open doors.
